One-on-one teaching
Because we believe so strongly in educating our patients, Parkwest offers one-on-one teaching. Patients come in before their operation to learn about the process, what to expect, how to prepare for surgery, and what to do at home afterward.
For instance, patients having a hip replacement see us several days before surgery for lab work. They also meet with a Parkwest educator to learn about pain management after the operation, exercises, physical therapy, and how to prepare their home for easy movement.
