Critical Care Services

General Information

The Critical Care Department at Parkwest includes the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). All units provide 24-hour constant observation. Specially-trained physicians, nurses and technicians staff the unit to provide the most state-of-the-art medical care for your loved one.

Guidelines

In order for a patient to conserve strength and receive care without interruption, Parkwest asks that family members and other visitors adhere to the following visiting hours and guidelines:

  • Only two individuals may visit a patient at one time.

  • Visiting hours for Critical Care are as follows:
    • 8:30 - 9:00 AM
    • 10:30 - 11:00 AM
    • 12:30 - 1:00 PM
    • 2:30 - 3:00 PM
    • 5:30 - 6:00 PM
    • 8:30 - 9:00 PM
    • 10:30 - 11:00 PM

  • Flowers, clothing and other personal items are not permitted in the patient's room, except those items used for personal hygiene.

  • If possible, please designate one person from your family to serve as the primary point-of-contact.
