David Chism, MD “Nearly three decades ago, my uncle’s diagnosis of stage four kidney cancer was devastating because there were few treatment options. Since then, cancer treatment has become more effective through tremendous advancements in immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapies. As an oncologist, I’m pleased to provide these advanced treatment methods to my patients.” Board

A nurse at Parkwest Medical Center was honored this morning with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. The DAISY Award was established in 1999 by the family of a patient who had received extraordinary care and compassion from his nurses

Sharon Jarnigan, 41, is the mother of the first baby born at Parkwest Medical Center in 2020. Evan Brian Jarnigan came into the world on Jan. 2.
