- About Us
Congratulations to Laurel Proulx, one of our clinical social workers, for being recognized with the BEE award. Laurel was nominated by her supervisor.
Laurel’s Nomination
In the BEE nomination, Laurel’s supervisor recognized her for making it a personal goal to find a safe discharge place for a patient. Laurel first worked with a family member of the patient to obtain the appropriate resources needed for continuing care. After many emails and phone calls to state offices regarding arrangements, she helped the patient complete multiple Zoom interviews and questionnaires, scheduled after-care appointments and helped secure transportation.
By speaking up and working on her patient’s behalf, Laurel was able to create and implement a successful discharge plan, her supervisor said. “She truly has been her patient’s biggest advocate.”
More About The BEE Award
Parkwest implemented The BEE (Being Exceptional Every day) Award to recognize employees who aren’t RNs and LPNs (they can be nominated for The DAISY Award). A DAISY can’t survive without a BEE and a BEE can’t survive without a DAISY! Nominate someone for a BEE Award today!
