After a nationwide search Michael Cavacos RN, MSN, CCCC, CCRN, NE-BC, has assumed the role of chief nursing officer at Parkwest Medical Center.
Cavacos brings over 20 years of leadership experience including responsibilities involving critical care, surgical services, emergency services, women’s services, and behavioral health. His experience includes working in complex hospital systems, and in competitive markets outside of Tennessee. Cavacos most recently served as chief nursing officer at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge since 2018.
“It’s been an honor seeing the great accomplishments that Mike has achieved while leading the nursing team at Methodist, and I’m excited about the opportunities waiting for him at Parkwest,” said Debbi Honey, RN, chief nursing officer for Covenant Health. “After interviewing candidates from across the country, we feel like we found the best candidate in Mike.”
