The Medical Staff at Parkwest Medical Center has donated $20,000 to the InterFaith Health Clinic to support its efforts to provide affordable medical care in East Tennessee.
InterFaith Health Clinic is a not-for-profit health care ministry that serves low-income, working uninsured and underserved people in our community. IFHC has a small paid staff that is assisted by a large number of volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, and other specialists. Several of these volunteers are from the Parkwest Medical Center medical staff.
“We are honored to partner with InterFaith Health Clinic to serve our community,” said Paul Naylor, MD, Parkwest Medical Center Chief of Staff. “It is our hope that this gift will enable InterFaith to see more patients and improve the health and well-being of residents throughout the greater Knoxville area.”
“Parkwest’s mission is to serve the community by improving the quality of life through better health,” added Chief-Elect Jeffrey Fuqua, MD. “This gift from the medical staff is just one of the ways we’re living up to that mission.”
Parkwest is West Knoxville’s premier medical facility. In addition to providing the area’s leading cardiac services, Parkwest offers award-winning care in orthopedics, surgical care, obstetrics and psychiatric services through Peninsula.
