Rachel Miller presented with BEE Award

Congratulations to Rachel Miller, one of our patient care assistants for being recognized with the BEE award. Rachel was nominated by a patient for providing excellent patient care.

Rachel’s Nomination

“I came to Parkwest by ambulance. Therefore, I did not have time to change my clothes, much less pack other items for my hospital stay.

After explaining my situation to Rachel, she appeared at my door with disposable underwear and scrub pants.

I also told her of my fight with incontinence and she provided me with pads and scrubs.

I think that this is probably standard operating procedures however, I doubt that you realize the level of release (anxiety) that this provided.

Her immediate attention to this situation left me with the ability to have a pleasant stay at Parkwest.

I also appreciate her prompt attention to other requests of a much more routine nature and her pleasant attitude through her shift.

Always prompt, courteous and with a smile even at the end of her shift.

She worked very hard to make my stay pleasant.

Her professionalism and duty are a credit to her and Parkwest Medical Center.

I am a 100% disabled veteran and Vietnam War survivor. I have been in many hospitals both military and civilian and her dedication to my stay is far superior to others with her same duty level.

Thank you, Rachel!”
