How long have you worked at Parkwest? I have been with Parkwest 39 years. I started the speech pathology department in 1979 as a contract employee along with my private practice.
Why do you love working at Parkwest?! I have loved working with the best physicians and staff in this beautiful facility making a difference for our patients and our community. The people and the daily challenges have always kept it interesting!
Where are you from? I was born in Oklahoma but lived in several locations in the United States and Canada as my father was a career officer in the United States Air Force.
If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be? I would love to have one more Thanksgiving dinner with my father. This was the only time he told stories of his adventures as a World War II pilot and as a boy growing up on a farm in Michigan.
What is your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment and joy in life has been raising my 21 year old son.
What is your favorite vacation spot? My favorite family vacation spot is Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.
Would you choose a free trip or money? I definitely would choose a trip. A cruise around the world would be a dream come true!
What is your favorite TV show? I much prefer playing bridge or reading a book than watching television. My favorite book is Crossing To Safety by Wallace Stegner.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you? I would like to see Meryl Streep play the lead role in a movie about my life.
