Danielle Bishop, RN, Honored with DAISY Award

A nurse at Parkwest Medical Center was honored this morning with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. The DAISY Award was established in 1999 by the family of a patient who had received extraordinary care and compassion from his nurses during his final days. Today The DAISY Award was presented to Danielle Bishop, a nurse in our Childbirth Center. Chief nursing officer Lynn Cagle presented Katy’s DAISY award this morning.

Welcoming a New Year and a New Year Baby. Parkwest Medical Center celebrated a very special delivery on New Year’s Day. Davis Brantlee Craft, the son of Jennifer and Brian Craft, was the first baby born in 2018 at the hospital’s Childbirth Center. Jennifer Craft hadn’t given much thought to the possibility of having a
