Darlene Frazier presented with BEE Award

Congratulations to Darlene Frazier, one of our health unit coordinators for being recognized with the BEE award. Darlene was nominated by another coworker for her great attitude and teamwork. 

Darlene’s Nomination

“I would like to nominate Darlene Frazier for a BEE Award. She is awesome, competent, helpful and a team player. Yes, I can say each and every one of these things about Darlene, but what I would like to say most of all, is that exemplifies EXCEPTIONAL!

In my capacity as volunteer coordinator, I have many occasions where I am needed to fill in for staff and volunteers in the surgery waiting area. This is a fast paced area with frequent high volumes of patients and visitors in the waiting room. Most of the time things run very smoothly with only the occasional hiccup. It is during these hiccups that Darlene has proven herself to be invaluable to us in surgery waiting and we are always thankful when we know she is on duty. Not being on the clinical side of the surgery area, we are sometimes at a loss how to track down a physician or verify information. When Darlene is on duty, we never worry about this. Darlene time and time again has bailed us out. She does whatever is necessary to make sure the families get their consultation with the surgeon. She has never failed to help us without hesitation.

All in our department are appreciative of Darlene and the amazing work ethic she displays. Our department has frequently joked amongst ourselves that if Darlene ever quits, we will go on strike until we get her back. She is that helpful to us and makes our jobs much easier.

To sum up, Darlene is awesome, competent, helpful and exceptional. She is very deserving of the BEE Award. While Darlene is not officially part of our team, she makes us feel that we are a part of hers. After all, that is what teamwork is all about.”
