Mackenzie Hudgins presented with BEE Award

Congratulations to Mackenzie Hudgins, a patient care assistant on 4 Riverstone, for being recognized with the BEE award. Mackenzie was nominated by a patient’s son.

Mackenzie’s Nomination

“My mother was brought to Parkwest on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She would turn 97 in just a few weeks. She was found to have terminal cancer and was given a few weeks to live. The staff was the most caring people our family has ever met. The love from their face for my mother was fantastic.

Mackenzie Hudgins was one of my mother’s favorites. You could tell the love for my mother by Mackenzie and by her gentle acceptance of a 97 year old woman who was almost totally deaf.

On April 21 Mackenzie had the day off but she came in to see my mother because she knew she would never see her again. That is how you know this was more than a job to Mackenzie.

As a family we were so appreciative for the loving kindness of the entire staff to a dying old woman. May the Lord bless you all and reward you for your love. Never to be forgotten.

I am not the smartest man but I know God’s love when I see it. Thank you all. You are in my prayers.”
